Grigore C. Moisil was born in Tulcea on 10 January 1906.
He was member of the Romanian Academy, Academy of Bologna and
of the International Institute of Philosophy.
Grigore C. Moisil was professor of Logical Mathematics and Computer
Science of Bucharest University.
He lectured in several universities from Europe and North America.
Grigore C. Moisil was the major promoter of Computer Science
and Cybernetics in academics, universities and high schools
in Romania.
He died on 25 May 1973.
Grigore C. Moisil is the only Romanian who received in 1996
the "Computer Pioneer" prize given by IEEE Computer
Society.
